Consumer-friendly app for viewing Thingsee sensor data

Thingsee Entry provides a simple, fast way to access sensor data without setting up a dedicated cloud or application environment. The app has everything needed for basic use of Thingsee sensors.

Getting Started

Create Account

  1. Open Thingsee Entry
  2. Tap Sign Up
  3. Enter email and password
  4. Check email for verification link from noreply@play.thingsee.com
  5. Click verification link (use desktop browser if mobile has issues)
  6. Return to app and sign in

Sign In

  1. Tap Sign In
  2. Enter email and password
  3. Access your sensors

Reset Password

  1. Tap Forgot my password
  2. Enter email address
  3. Check email for reset link
  4. Set new password in browser
  5. Return to app and sign in

Sensor Management

Adding Sensors

Add sensors by scanning their QR codes:

  1. Tap the QR code icon (top right)
  2. Point camera at sensor QR code
  3. Sensor appears in your Things list

You can also scan QR codes from:

  • Shared sensors (from another Entry app)
  • Screenshots of shared sensors
  • Haltian demo sensors

Viewing Sensor List

Your Things list shows all added sensors with:

  • Sensor name
  • Device type
  • Last update time
  • Current values (summary)

Favorites

Add frequently-checked sensors to favorites:

  1. Open a sensor
  2. Tap the heart icon (turns red)
  3. Access favorites from the Favorites tab

Remove from favorites by tapping the heart again.

Sharing Sensors

Share sensors with colleagues or friends:

  1. Open the sensor view
  2. Take a screenshot (Power + Volume Down on Android, Power + Volume Up on iOS)
  3. Share the screenshot via email, messaging, or any image-sharing app

Recipients can scan the QR code in the screenshot to add the sensor to their Entry app.

Removing Sensors

  1. Open the sensor
  2. Tap settings → Remove
  3. Confirm removal

Viewing Data

Current Values

Select any sensor to view:

  • All measured properties
  • Latest values
  • Timestamps

Historical Data

View data over time:

  1. Open a sensor
  2. Tap any measurement value
  3. View history chart

Time ranges:

  • Past hour (60 minutes)
  • Past day (24 hours) - default
  • Past week (7 days)
  • Past month (30 days)
  • Custom date range

The chart shows minimum and maximum values for the selected period.

Export Data

Export sensor data as CSV:

  1. Open sensor data view
  2. Select the measurement
  3. Tap Export data
  4. Choose destination (Drive, email, Files, etc.)

Notifications

Set up push notifications for threshold alerts.

Creating Notifications

  1. Open sensor data view
  2. Tap a measurement
  3. Tap Create notification
  4. Configure:
    • Threshold value - Trigger point
    • Above text - Message when value exceeds threshold
    • Below text - Message when value drops below threshold
  5. Tap Save

Example notifications:

  • “Meeting room CO₂ above 1000 ppm - needs ventilation!”
  • “Freezer temperature above -15°C - check door!”
  • “Toilet paper running low!”

Viewing Notifications

Active notifications are shown in the sensor data view. You can create multiple notifications per sensor.

Editing Notifications

  1. Tap the notification in the list
  2. Modify threshold or text
  3. Tap Save

Deleting Notifications

  1. Open the notification
  2. Tap Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

Visit Open MQTT Data to find QR codes for demo sensors including:

  • Hand towel dispenser (distance)
  • Toilet paper dispenser (distance)
  • Environment sensor (temp, humidity)
  • Visitor counter (movement)
  • Air quality sensor (CO₂, TVOC)
  • Occupancy sensor (presence)

Scan any demo QR code to add the sensor to your Entry app and see live data from Haltian’s office.
