Supported Sensors

Which Haltian sensor measurement types the Humly connector forwards, and how they map to Humly sensor types

Overview

The Humly connector consumes Haltian IoT sensor measurements and converts them into Humly sensor readings. It maps a small, fixed list of measurement types to Humly sensor types - it does not have a concept of per-device or per-sensor configuration presets.

This page lists the Haltian sensors that emit supported measurement types today, what each sensor reports, and how that data appears in Humly.

Measurement Type Mapping

The connector maps the following Haltian measurement types to Humly sensor types:

Haltian measurement typeHumly sensor typeUnit
ambient_temperature, system_temperaturetemperature°C
humidityrelativeHumidity%
barometric_pressurepressure-
co2co2ppm
occupancy_status, movement_detections, directional_movementmotion-
presencepresence-

Any measurement type not in this list is skipped and never sent to Humly.

Sensor Details

Thingsee PRESENCE

The Thingsee PRESENCE reports occupancy status and presence. When a device sends presence or occupancy_status measurements, the connector forwards them to Humly as a presence or motion sensor reading.

Haltian ENTRYWAY

The Haltian ENTRYWAY reports directional movement (entries and exits). Its directional_movement measurements are forwarded to Humly as motion readings.

Haltian RADAR

The Haltian RADAR reports binary occupied/vacant status via occupancy_status measurements, forwarded to Humly as motion readings.

Thingsee AIR

The Thingsee AIR reports ambient_temperature, humidity, barometric_pressure, and co2. Each of these measurement types is mapped and forwarded individually to Humly as temperature, relativeHumidity, pressure, and co2 sensor readings, respectively. CO₂ readings can also serve as an indirect occupancy signal in Humly, since CO₂ levels tend to rise with the number of people in a closed space.

Thingsee ENVIRONMENT

The Thingsee ENVIRONMENT reports ambient_temperature, humidity, and barometric_pressure among its measurements. These are mapped and forwarded to Humly the same way as Thingsee AIR’s climate measurements.

How Sensors Appear in Humly

The connector auto-creates a sensor in Humly the first time it receives a supported measurement type from a device - for example, a sensor identified as HIoT-ambient_temperature-hiot-dev. Newly created sensors appear unassigned in Humly.

Mapping an unassigned sensor to a specific Humly room or desk is done inside Humly’s own Control Panel UI - the Haltian side does not provide a device-to-room mapping step. No report describes an alternative mapping mechanism, so treat this as the only confirmed path.
