Thingsee PRESENCE Longlife
Overview
Thingsee PRESENCE Longlife is the extended-battery version of Thingsee PRESENCE. It combines the standard sensor with the Thingsee POWERCOVER for longer battery life and optional continuous micro-USB power.
This page documents only what differs from the standard PRESENCE. For everything else — installation steps, configuration parameters, message formats, and detection behaviour — see Standard PRESENCE documentation below.
When to choose PRESENCE LONGLIFE
Choose PRESENCE LONGLIFE when you need standard PRESENCE functionality with fewer battery replacements or optional micro-USB for continuous power.

Why the battery swap
POWERCOVER replaces the sensor’s own AAA batteries entirely — when POWERCOVER is attached, the sensor’s internal battery compartment is left empty and POWERCOVER becomes the sole power source. This is what extends battery life from ~4 years to up to 10 years.

The LONGLIFE bundle combines two individually certified components:
- Thingsee PRESENCE sensor: CE, FCC, ISED, RCM, MIC, UKCA, WPC ETA-SD, IMDA, KC, NOM, NYCE, IFT — RoHS, WEEE, REACH compliant
- Thingsee POWERCOVER: CE, FCC, ISED, UKCA — RoHS compliant
