File Attachments
Uploading photos and managing file attachments on devices
Overview
You can attach files — typically photos — to any device. File attachments help document device installations, record site conditions, or provide visual reference for field teams.
Viewing Attachments
The thumbnail image area on the Device Details screen shows the most recent photo. If multiple files are attached, you can browse through them.
Adding a Photo
Capture with Camera
- Tap the thumbnail area on the Device Details screen (or the “Tap to add photo” placeholder)
- Select Take Photo
- The camera opens — frame the device and tap the shutter button
- The photo is uploaded automatically
Upload from Gallery
- Tap the thumbnail area on the Device Details screen
- Select Choose File
- Pick an image from your device gallery
- The file is uploaded automatically
Note
Camera access requires granting the camera permission when prompted. The app works without camera access, but you cannot capture photos or scan QR codes.
Deleting an Attachment
Tap the attachment and select Delete to remove it from the device. This action cannot be undone.
